iii Points Music Festival offers a taste of Miami’s diversity and versatility all while creating an inviting environment to discover something new. With such a wide variety of a lineup, the sixth edition of the festival proved to be a fantastic rendering of the sensory experience it had promised. For three days it takes over the indoor and outdoor areas of Mana Wynwood with over 100 performers, multiple stages, and interactive art installations strategically placed around the venue. Guests could dance all night to headliners under the disco ball of the Mind Melt stage or strap on some roller-skates and escape to the Skate Space for a change of pace. Other notable environments include the lush greenhouse vibes created at the Isotropic stage, and an overhead laser show called Aether by Max Cooper & The Architecture Social Club.

Previous festivals were scheduled for October, but delaying the festival another 4 months this year proved to be a good move on the organizer’s part - February in Miami brings beautiful weather in the 60’s and 70’s, making this Magic City live up to its name.

Doors opened around golden hour at 5pm every night and offered tunes for those wanting to party through five in the morning through the weekend. Night one brought main stage acts by Tyler the Creator and Beach House, and killer performances by JPEGMAFIA, Tama Gucci, Pussy Riot, and Virtual Self just to name a few.

Day two continued on Saturday with another satisfying lineup -  we only caught SZA but other acts included James Blake, Yaeji, Herbie Hancock, Raekwon & Ghostface Killah, and many more.

The festival’s closing lineup included powerful acts by Erykah Badu, Blood Orange, Kruanghbin, and David August. Highly anticipated A$AP Rocky did not disappoint, early in his set bringing back Dev Hynes of Blood Orange for a dreamy guest spot, and later Tyler The Creator to share the stage of a few of their collaborations.

Overall I was extremely impressed and mesmerized by the whole experience that iii Points created - it was truly a dream for Miami locals and visitors alike to feel at home for a weekend. Looking forward to next year!
