Arizona-based indie-folk band Jared & the Mill are on a roll. Not only do they have a new single “Kelsee’s Shelves” out, they have also announced a new tour for 2019. To top it off, they are also beginning a partnership with charity organization Can’d Aid. Can’d Aid is a multi-faceted “do-goodery” movement, involved in a variety of activities such as providing water for disaster-stricken communities, planting trees, encouraging recycling, and donating instruments to public school music programs.

This is where Jared & the Mill come in. For every ticket sold on the 2019 tour, the band will donate $1 to Can’d Aid, making their fans part of the effort to continue the band’s “love everyone” mentality. As they travel, will also be donating instruments and doing music workshops for schools in ten US cities chosen by the charity. Can’d Aid has donated over 400 instruments since their founding in 2013 and continue to work to spread music education through TUNES ambassadors like Jared & the Mill.

Asked about how the partnership got started, lead singer Jared Kolesar said, “We have been pals with some of the folks over at Oskar Blues for several years now, and they got us in touch pretty quick because Can’d Aid is such a great cause and they love supporting new music!  It’s been a really great experience so far. We’re psyched to see the kiddos and hook em up with brand spankin’ new instruments!” The band is also really excited to get their new album out into the world. “It was an inspirational blast to create and I hope it’s even half as awesome to listen to!  We’ll be out on the road playing these songs for anybody who will listen, so find you show that you can make and get ready for a good time.”

Check out the tour dates below and keep an eye out for the new album This Story is No Longer Available coming on February 15, 2019. You can also follow their social media for further announcements on the tour and which cities will have the school music workshops.
